Description
Beech Lawn Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with a later extension, which was refaced around 1840 and renovated in 1993. It is constructed of red brick that has been painted white, topped with a hipped pantile roof featuring one central ridge stack and one external brick stack.
The exterior has a three-storey front with three windows. The central entrance is a half-glazed door, flanked by two-light cross casements on either side. Each floor above has a blind central window, with two-light cross casements featuring glazing bars on either side. The rear of the cottage is two storeys high and includes 20th-century casements designed in a 17th-century style.
Inside, the cottage retains a chamfered spine beam from the 17th century and features a winder staircase located by the stack.
