Description

Chantry Cottages comprise a terrace of six houses dating from the early 18th century, with later alterations. The ground floor is painted brick, while the first floor is plastered timber frame with weatherboarding to the left-hand gable. The roof is tiled with two red brick ridge stacks. The houses are two stories high and each has a single-window facade. Plank doors are interspersed on the ground floor, with a replacement glazed door at No. 2. No. 2 has an 8/8 unhorned sash window to the ground floor; the remaining ground floor windows are late 18th century three-light metal casements. The first floors have two- and three-light late 18th century metal casements, except for No. 12, which has a 5-light 20th-century casement. The interior was not inspected.
