Description
This is a Methodist church built around 1845. The exterior is stucco that has been treated to resemble ashlar stone over a granite rubble base, topped with a hipped roof made of scantled slate. The church has a one-cell plan with a single room to the left and is one storey high. The chapel features a two-window range with flat rendered arches above a double door from the 1980s on the left, and horned 2/2-pane sash windows. The rear has windows that were also added in the 1980s. To the left, there is a lower single-storey range with flat rendered arches above a plank door with an overlight, and similar sash windows to the left and around the corner. Inside, there is a stick-baluster staircase leading to a gallery with a panelled front supported by cast-iron columns with moulded capitals. The interior also includes a 19th-century pulpit and benches with shaped ends.
