Description

The Corner House is an attached Post Office and Stores dating from the mid-18th century, with some changes to its windows made in the 19th century. The building has rendered and painted walls and features a thatched roof with gable ends, along with brick stacks at each gable end. It stands two storeys high and has three windows, which are two-light wood casements with glazing bars from the 19th century. The central door is panelled and includes two upper lights, also from the 19th century. There is a porch with trelliswork and a tiled pitched roof. An extension is attached to the east end, constructed from rubblestone and topped with a hipped tiled roof, featuring a fixed window on its end wall.
