Description
Scotland Farm House is a farmhouse dated 1665, as indicated above the door, and associated with "Peter Whefen". The building features rubble stone walls, a stone slate roof, and stone end stacks. It is one storey high with attics and includes a gabled stone porch. The inner doorway has a depressed four-centred arch. On the ground floor, there are two three-light stone mullioned windows with casements. The attic contains two pent-roofed dormers, also featuring stone mullioned windows with casements. At the right end, there is a lower extension built in matching construction, which has a ledged door. The interior is not accessible but appears largely unaltered. This property is managed by the National Trust.
