Description

Probably dating to the 17th century, 60 and 61 Ulwell are a pair of cottages constructed of Purbeck stone with some ironstone, and an overlying thatched roof, featuring stone stacks. The buildings are one storey and attics in height, although the northern section is of single-storey construction with a lower ridge level. The original plan seems to be of the three-room and cross-passage configuration. The ground floor includes a stable door in its original position, along with a second door in the northern section. There are three casement windows, and three half-dormers to the attic, each with a casement window. The cottages are identified as RCHM Monument 74.
