Description

CHEDINGTON ST 40 NE 2/178 Woodcock's Farmhouse - II

Farmhouse c1700, and C20 restoration. Rubble-stone walls. Roman-tile roofs with a stone gable-coping. C20 brick and 'stone' stacks at each gable. Rubble-stone lower ranges at each end. Same materials. One storey. House of 2 storeys, 3 windows, C20 4-light wooden casements without glazing-bars. Wooden lintels to ground floor. Upper centre has a 2-light casement. Front door, at centre, C20 wood with narrow tall lights. Wooden lintel over. Inside is preserved a stone with T.B.1833, carved on it, presumably referring to a restoration.
