Description

The mile post located to the east of Mead House dates from the early to mid 19th century. It is triangular in shape and made of cast iron, featuring panelled sides and a downward pointing apex with a narrow central band. The left-hand panel is inscribed with "Sherborn 15," the right-hand panel reads "Shaston 1," and the central band displays the word "Motcomb."
