Description

The lamp standard and war memorial, located at 1615 The Knapp, Enmore Green, is a Grade II listed structure. It is made of cast iron and features a square plinth with a circular shaft that has a coved and octagonal base. The shaft branches into three at the top, adorned with ornate scroll work on the side arms. A memorial tablet is set into the plinth, listing the names of soldiers who died in the First World War from 1914 to 1918. The memorial is enclosed by railings on three sides and a wall adjacent to No 22 The Knapp.
