Description

The cart shed at Park Farm, located 15 metres northeast of The Cheese House, dates back to the 17th century. It features coursed lias stone walls and a hipped thatch roof, with a rectangular plan and 1½ storeys. The entrance to the cart shed is located in the north gable wall, where the lower part is open and the upper part is weatherboarded. There is also a plank door with large hinges and a wooden lintel over it in the south gable wall. Inside, large wooden ceiling beams with stops support the renewed joists of the loft, and the structure has a collar-beam roof construction.
