Description

Number 21 on West Street is an 18th-century building constructed from colour-washed brick, topped with a pitched tile roof and stone slates at the eaves. It has two storeys and attics, featuring a brick band and oversailing courses at the eaves. The shopfront, which dates from the 19th century, includes panelled pilasters, a cornice above the fascia, and plate glass windows with a door that has an oblong fanlight. There are also two segment-headed flush-framed cased sashes with glazing bars. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 29 (odd), with No 29 being of local interest only.
