Description
No 13, known as The Antelope Public House, is an 18th-century building located on the south side of West Street. It is constructed of whitewashed brick and features a pitched tile roof with red brick chimney stacks. The building stands two storeys high with attics and has a distinctive diagonally placed brick eaves cornice. On the first floor, there are three cased sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor includes two 19th-century canted bay windows, with the right-hand one being an oriel. The entrance door has six fielded panels and is framed by a doorcase with fluted pilasters and cut brackets that support a flat moulded hood. The building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 29, with No 29 being of local interest only.
