Description

Higher Hewood Farm features a detached outbuilding dating from the 18th century. The structure has rubble walls with brick quoins and is topped with a thatch roof. It is a single storey building with one window and a plank door. Inside, there are rafters supported by heavy through purlins, and the ties have been renewed. A segmental arch connects the gable wall of the outbuilding to the farmhouse, with a door located below the arch.
