Description

Marsh Farm House, which now functions as two cottages, has its origins in the 17th century and underwent alterations in the 19th century. The building features walls made of flint with brick banding, a deep plinth topped with moulded stone, and a tiled roof with stone eaves courses and coped gables. It has one brick chimney at the end and another in the center. The ground floor includes two 20th-century part-glazed doors, one sheltered by a hood supported on shaped brackets, along with three double-hung sash windows. The first floor has five similar sash windows, and there is evidence of other blocked windows. At the rear, there is a single-storey lean-to and a two-storey wing that now has a flat roof. To the north of the house, adjacent to the road, is an enclosed yard surrounded by cob walls capped with pantiles.
