Description
Dyer's Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century. It features a rubble-stone base and chalk-block walls, topped with a thatch roof that has a gable end on the left side and is half-hipped at the right front. The house is designed in a T-plan, which is an L-plan that has been extended. There are brick stacks located at the left gable and at the ridge on the right front. The building has one and a half storeys with irregular fenestration, including various two- and three-light wooden casements that have glazing bars, wooden cills, and lintels. The front door is centrally located and is a flush-panelled design with two top lights, dating from the 19th century. There is also a rubble-stone and brick porch with a slate roof. The interior has been much altered but retains some mid-chamfered ceiling beams.
