Description
Redford House is a detached farmhouse located in Batcombe, dating from the late 17th century or earlier, with later alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features a rubble-stone base and chalk-block walls, with a sleeper buttress on the right front, and is primarily constructed of brick. The roof is thatched, gabled on the left side and hipped on the right, with brick stacks at the left gable and a ridge stack to the right of center, both dating from the 18th century. The house is one and a half storeys tall and has three windows, which are two- and three-light wooden casements with wooden cills. There is a plank door located to the left of center, dating from the 19th century, and a brick-jambed porch with a gabled slate roof added in the 20th century.
