Description
Church Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, with later alterations that raised the eaves. It features a rubble-stone base and walls made of ashlar chalk-block, with the south gable wall having been rebuilt. The roof is thatched and hipped at both ends, with a brick stack at the center ridge that was renewed in the 20th century. The building has one and a half storeys and displays irregular fenestration with four windows, consisting of two- and three-light wooden casements with glazing bars, much of which has been renewed in the 20th century, all within original openings. There are two eyebrow dormers, each with three lights and ashlar walling built up on each side; the left-hand dormer is from the early 19th century, while the right-hand one was renewed in the 20th century. A plank door is located at the center, set in a wood frame that has also been renewed in the 20th century.
