Description
Denzil Cottage is a cottage that appears to date from the 17th century or earlier, although the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments suggests around 1800. It features a timber box frame and cob construction, which is colourwashed. The cottage has thatched roofs, with a colourwashed brick stack on the left and a rendered stack on the right at the junction with the rear wing. It is designed in an L-shape and has one and a half storeys with a three-window range. The main front has been completely refenestrated with 20th-century casements that include leaded lights. The rear features some 19th-century casements with glazing bars. There is a 20th-century glazed door located to the left of centre.
