Description
Willow Farm House is a detached house dating from the early 17th century, located on the west side of The Street in Winterborne Zelston. The building features colourwashed brick walls and a hipped thatched roof with catslide extensions at each end. There is a brick stack at the right end of the main house. The front of the house has two storeys, with a raised roof and low eaves at the rear. A 20th-century glazed timber porch with a ledged door is present at the entrance.
On the ground floor, there are three casement windows with cast iron lights, along with a small plain casement window in the right end extension. The first floor also has three casement windows with cast iron lights. The left extension has been converted into a garage and features timber walls with vertical boarding. The left gable wall of the main house is timber-framed and has early weatherboarding. Inside, the main ground floor rooms are characterized by deep chamfered and stopped ceiling beams. The roof may have originally been of jointed cruck form.
