Description
No. 10 Sherborne Road is a cottage that also includes the premises of a Post Office, dating from the mid-18th century. The building features coursed rubble-stone walls with dressed stone quoins and a thatched roof with gable ends. There are 18th-century brick stacks at the gable ends. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows, which are three-light wood casements with glazing bars, along with wood cills and lintels. The front door is a plank door with one glazed light at the center, also from the 18th century. Attached to the left side of the cottage are premises with a Roman tile roof, which previously served as a shop front featuring a large window with fixed glazing bars.
