Description
Langton Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with early 18th century extensions and remodelling. The main facade is rendered and whitewashed, while the exposed walls are made of flint, rubble, and brick. The building features tiled roofs and has two storeys with a range of ten windows. The windows are two-light iron casements with glazing bars set in architraves. A reset porch, originally from the demolished Langton House, was designed by C R Cockrell and is made of stone with Doric columns. There is also a further doorway to the right of the centre, which has a pedimented architrave and heavy plank doors.
Inside, the farmhouse includes various stop-chamfered beams and an 18th century staircase with Tuscan column balusters and a moulded handrail.
