Description

This is an early 18th-century house located in Lower Blandford St Mary. It is constructed of banded brick and flint, with some rubble, and has a tiled roof with slate margins and brick stacks at the ends. A later western addition has a tiled, half-hipped roof with a brick stack along the ridge. A brick first-floor band is present, and the eaves are coved plaster. The main block of the house has two storeys and attics, with a five-window front. The windows are nine-pane sashes set within flat, rubbed brick arches. A central porch is present. Internal features documented by the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (RCHM) include an oak staircase with turned balusters, moulded handrails, and square newel posts.
