Description

The Forge is an early 19th-century building located on the north side of Colliton Street. It is constructed from Portland or Ridgeway rubble with brick dressings and features a pitched slate roof. The building has two storeys, with two casement windows on the first floor and three on the ground floor, including one tripartite window and one with glazing bars. There is a louvred opening on the first floor and planked double doors at the entrance. The Forge, along with Nos 34 to 36 and Nos 42 to 44, forms a group of buildings of architectural significance.
