Description
The Malt Shovel Public House is a building from the early 19th century located on the south side of Main Street in Menston. It is constructed of coursed rubble and has two storeys topped with a stone slab roof. The façade features three unevenly spaced windows that have projecting slab surrounds, although the glazing has been renewed. The central doorway is framed by a moulded doorcase with pilasters and a straight hood, and there are moulded gutter-blocks present. The Malt Shovel Public House, along with the outbuildings to the east and Nos 34 to 40 (even), forms a cohesive group of buildings along this part of Main Street.
