Description
No. 36 on Main Street is a building likely dating from the 18th century. It is two storeys tall and constructed of mainly coursed rubble. The façade features two widely spaced sash windows, with the lower window on the right being enlarged. There is a central door, and the roof is made of stone slabs. The building abuts No. 34 on the right, overlapping slightly, but there is a gap to No. 38. The left-hand end of the building is made of random rubble.
This property is part of a group that includes No. 30, the Malt Shovel Public House, the outbuildings next to the Malt Shovel Public House to the east, and Nos. 34 to 40 (even), forming an uninterrupted series of buildings along the south side of Main Street.
