Description

No. 36 and 42 Colliton Street is a late 18th-century building constructed of red brick, with the ground floor featuring stucco. It has a mansard tile roof and brick stacks, standing two storeys high with attics. The façade includes four ranges of sash windows with glazing bars and four attic dormers, two of which also have sash windows with glazing bars. There are two six-panelled doors, one of which is part-glazed, flanked by semi-circular fanlights. A round-headed opening with a keystone between the doors leads to an open passageway. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 34 to 36 and Nos. 42 to 44, along with The Forge and The Forge Cottage.
