Description

No 4 High East Street is an early 19th-century building constructed of red brick with rubbed brick voussoirs. It features a pitched slate roof and stands three storeys tall. The building has a moulded wooden eaves cornice and two ranges of sash windows with glazing bars. There is a mid-19th-century shopfront that includes incised line ornament on the pilasters and scrolled consoles, as well as a door with six flush panels and an oblong fanlight with glazing bars. Nos 1 to 9, along with No 7A, form a group with the Kingdom Hall and The Old House at Home on Salisbury Street.
