Description

Nos 2 and 3 High East Street are a pair of buildings dating from around 1845. They are constructed of brown brick with colour-washed voussoirs and feature a pitched slate roof. The buildings rise to three storeys and have two ranges of sash windows with glazing bars. There is a mid 19th century shopfront that includes panelled pilasters and elaborate consoles topped with lions' head masks. The entrance door has mid 19th century fielded panelling and an oblong fanlight. Nos 1 to 9, along with No 7A, form a group with the Kingdom Hall and The Old House at Home on Salisbury Street.
