Description
The garden wall enclosing the garden to Barton Hill House, located on the north-west side of the garden, dates from 1615. This stone rubble wall features capping and runs along Barton Hill from the gateway to the left of No. 5, extending north-east to the house itself. At the north-east end, flanking the entrance to the house, are a pair of gate piers with coved capping and stepped square finials on top. The wall is interrupted for a short distance before it forms a set-back quadrant wing at the entrance to the north-east of the house.
