Description
The railings, piers, and gates attached to the south-west of the stables of Fontmell Parva House date from the 18th century. They feature wrought-iron gates and railings set on dwarf brick walls topped with ashlar copings. The end piers are made of ashlar and have moulded cornices and ball finials. The railings include intermediate panels with scrollwork, and the gate has a scrollwork overthrow. The uprights are topped with spike finials, and the gate displays the St Loe arms.
