Description
The gatepiers, walls, gates, and railings at the forecourt of the Manor House date from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with the railings likely added in the 19th or early 20th century. They are constructed of limestone. The gatepiers feature panelled sides on both the front and rear, with moulded entablatures and ball finials set on stepped bases. The low ashlar walls on either side are topped with iron railings that have arrow finials, and the top rails curve up to meet the abutments. A rubble wall with old plain-tile coping extends to the right, returning to the entrance front of the house.
