  1. Founded 1850/1. Former British School. Hammer dressed stone. Pitched slate roof. Paired ashlar stacks. Various coped gables on kneelers. South block 1 storey. North block 2 storeys. Porch with open bell-cote on gable. Door, part-glazed, with fanlight in 4-centred arch: hoodmould. Mullion and transom windows with hoodmoulds. North block has planked double doors with elaborate hinges in similar frame, flanked by lancets with hoodmoulds and triple stepped lancets with hoodmould above. Nos 17A and B have planked doors in single chamfered arches.
