Description
Cottages at the rear of Star Garage, likely built in the 19th century with some parts possibly dating back to the 18th century, form a terrace of three cottages. The westernmost cottage is rendered and tarred, featuring a pitched slate roof and red brick stacks with late 19th-century tops. The cottages are two storeys high, with two ranges of casement windows on the south elevation. The north elevation has two ranges of casements with glazing bars and two planked doors, which are not tarred. The central part of the terrace is constructed from coursed rubble and has a pitched modern pantile roof, also two storeys with attics. The south elevation includes three ranges of casements with glazing bars, a modern door, and a modern attic dormer. The western elevation is rendered and contains five casements, four of which have glazing bars. The eastern part is made of coursed rubble with red brick above the ground floor and has a pitched corrugated asbestos roof. There are four openings boarded up on the south elevation, two of which show traces of casements with glazing bars. The north elevation is obscured by a lean-to with a corrugated iron roof.
