Description
This is a terrace of three cottages located on High Street, Tollesbury. They date from the 18th century. The cottages are timber-framed and originally plastered, though the front is now rendered with 20th-century pebble-dash. They have a gambrel roof covered in plain clay tiles. A rear wing to number 11 has a pitched and gabled roof, also clad in plain clay tiles. Two red brick chimney stacks are visible from the road. The cottages are one storey high with attics, and have three gabled dormers containing small-paned, side-hung casement windows. The end gables have attic casements with small panes. The front features a five-window range of small-paned, vertically sliding sash windows with glazing bars. Three four-panelled entrance doors are set within simple surrounds.
