Description

No. 8 is a house located on High Street in Tollesbury, dating from the early 19th century. It is timber framed, with a plastered and weatherboarded exterior. The building is a single range facing south and is an addition to the east side of No. 10, known as Finite Oaks, with the right return wall forming an acute angle with the front. The house has two storeys. On the ground floor, there are two large fixed lights from the 20th century, while the first floor features two early 19th-century sash windows, each with 16 lights. A central 20th-century half-glazed door provides the entrance. The roof is hipped, and the right return is also weatherboarded, with one similar sash window on the ground floor. This building is included for its group value.
