Description
Two monuments, located 9 metres north-west of the west end of the nave of the Church of St Andrew, date from the early to mid-18th century. Each monument is made of Ham stone and features two Blue Lias panels on each side, framed with late ovolo-mouldings. They have moulded cornices and hipped top blocks. The southern monument commemorates Henry Andrews of Preston, son of Henry and Aves Andrews of Rimpton, who died on March 14, 1759, aged 53. The northern monument has a cracked top block and its inscriptions are illegible due to weathering.
