Description
The Rose and Crown Inn is a public house consisting of two 18th century ranges connected by a main 19th century range. It features dressed stone walls, with thatch roofs on the eastern and western ranges and a slate roof on the main front range. The east range has stone gable-coping, while the north-east gable has a brick stack. There are two stone stacks on the ridge towards the west end. The north-east range is 1½ storeys high and has three-light wood casements with glazing bars, along with a two-leaf plank door below. The 19th century front range is two storeys tall and includes four windows with two-light 20th century wood casements featuring glazing bars, wood cills, and stone lintels. The front door, located left of centre, is a plank door with six recessed panels from the 19th century, and it has a gabled slate porch supported by wooden posts. The south-west range displays irregular fenestration of casement windows. Inside, there are flagstone floors.
