Description

The Bairstow Gallery is an attached house and premises dating to 1844, marked with the initials WD. The walls are roughcast and painted, topped with a thatched roof featuring a gable end and a brick stack. The building is two storeys high with a dormer window. The first floor has two sash windows with 16 panes of glazing-bars and wooden sills, characteristic of the 19th century. The ground floor features a slightly canted shop window from the 20th century, with six main divisions, and a fanlight at the centre above. The dormer window has a two-light casement with glazing-bars. A 20th-century front door is located on the left-hand side, with glazed panels in the upper half. The doorway has recessed-panel reveals.
