Description

Rushpond is a house that was formerly three cottages, likely built in the 18th century. The building features plastered walls and a thatched roof, with brick stacks that are partly plastered. It stands two storeys tall and has a glazed door set in a thatched rustic porch. Both the ground and first floors have four casement windows each, which include glazing bars and shutters.

There are two single-storey extensions: one on the east side, which has a tiled roof and contains a garage and a porch with a glazed door, and another on the west side, which has a thatched roof and features one casement window with glazing bars and shutters. Inside, two ground floor rooms are equipped with large open fireplaces that have timber lintels, one of which includes a bread oven. The interior also showcases some chamfered ceiling beams.
