Description

No 34 on Sherborne Lane is a late 18th century building featuring a symmetrical elevation of two storeys with two window bays and a central doorway. The roof is hipped and covered with slate. The front is finished in stucco, while the return is made of stone rubble. The upper floor has sash windows, and the ground floor has fixed windows that are four panes wide with two opening panes. The entrance consists of six-panel double doors, which are flanked by a fluted pilastered doorway topped with Ionic capitals and a dentilled pedimented hood. There is a blocked enriched semi-circular fanlight that features a sun motif. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 27 to 32 and Nos 35 to 37 on Sherborne Lane.
