Description
Sherborne Lodge, located at 13 Sherborne Lane, is a two-storey building dating from the 18th century or earlier. The front is colourwashed and rendered, featuring a slate gabled roof with cresting. The left side has one window bay, while the entrance is to the right. Above the door, there is a four-light splayed oriel bay window from the late 19th century or later, with French casements below. To the right, there is a modern glazed door.
Adjacent to Sherborne Lodge, No 14 has a corrugated iron roof over thatch and a roughcast front. It features a half-glazed door on the left and a trellised porch, with sash windows on both levels to the right. No 15 also has a slate gabled roof and a roughcast front, with sash windows above and below, and a modern oak door to the right.
No 16 shares a continuous slate gabled roof with No 15 and has a roughcast front. It features a half-glazed door with two flush panels on the left and a two-light casement above, with a sash window below. No 17 has a steeper corrugated iron roof over thatch and a colourwashed front. It includes a sash window with a flush frame above and a three-light wood casement below, along with a wrought iron trellis porch and a four-panelled door in a moulded architrave frame, where the top two panels are glazed.
No 18 has a corrugated iron roof over thatch and a colourwashed rendered front. It features a modern gabled wood porch on the left, a six-panelled door with the top four panels glazed, and tall narrow wood casements on the right. Lastly, No 19 has a corrugated iron roof over thatch with a hip to the right and a colourwashed rendered front. It includes a two-light, two-tier leaded window above and a four-light splayed bay window with leaded casements to the left below, along with a four-panelled door with a flat hood on corrugated iron brackets.
Nos 6 to 10 and Nos 13 to 19, along with Nos 35 to 37, form a group.
