Description

The Lym Guest House is a house dating from the 19th century. It is two storeys high and originally had three window bays. It has a slate hipped roof with two boxed dormers. The front of the house is roughly coated with roughcast. The ground and first floors originally had triple-sash windows at either end; a modern window now occupies the centre of the first floor. Stone steps flanked by railings lead to a doorcase, featuring pilasters, a fluted frieze, and a cornice, now with a modern door. There was formerly a front garden enclosed by railings. The building was once used as a dame's school.

The Lym Guest House is part of a group which also includes numbers 22, 22A, 23, 25, 25A and 26, Sherborne Lane, alongside numbers 6 to 8 Sherborne Buildings, Sherborne Lane.
