Description
Weaver's Cottage, located at No 23 Coombe Street, is a building from the 18th century to the early 19th century, with a possibly older core. The cottage features an overhanging design and has two storeys plus an attic, with two window bays. It is topped by a slate gabled roof and includes one hipped dormer. The front is roughcast, and on the first floor, there are two one-light casement windows with small panes. On the ground floor, from the left to the right, there is a two-light window with a small opening vent, followed by a doorway framed with a moulded architrave that is now askew. This doorway has a flat hood supported by brackets and leads to a seven-panelled door. At the right-hand end, there is another window with small panes and an opening vent. Weaver's Cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 23 to 28, the Congregational Church, and the forecourt walls.
