Description

Cyclo, The Cottage, and Lyn Cottage are three adjoining buildings located on Hound Street, dating from the 19th century. They are two-storey structures, each with two window bays and slate gabled roofs. The right-hand bay of Cyclo has a lower ridge and features brick stacks. The fronts are made of stone rubble.

On the first floor, there are 2-light casements, with small panes in The Cottage. The ground floor of Cyclo includes, from right to left, a 4-light three-tier window with a lintel, a segmental-headed doorway with a six-panelled door, and a three-light window. The Cottage has a three-light casement with small panes on either side of a segmental-headed doorway, which features a six-panelled door with the upper four panels glazed.

In the right-hand return of Cyclo, there is a blocked 2-light window, each light having a four-centred head and carved spandrel. Lyn Cottage has a lower frontage and appears to have been restored. It features a two-storey, one-window bay stone rubble front facing Hound Street, with a plaintile half-hipped roof. The upper window rises into the roof space and has a gable over it. The sash windows have some missing glazing bars and horns, and the lower window has a lintel. There is a doorway at the end of an external passageway on the left-hand side of the house.

Nos 16 to 20, Harper House, and the boundary walls to Harper House along Hound Street form a group.
