Description
The chapel, located approximately 90 meters west of Manor Farmhouse, is a 13th-century structure that has been repurposed as a farm outbuilding. It is built from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and features a roof that is partly tiled and partly stone-slated, with gable ends. The south facade includes a single lancet window on the right and a 19th-century door on the left. The north facade has a single lancet window on the left and a doorway on the right, which has a chamfered two-centred head and continuous jambs. The north lancet window is adorned with a trefoiled rere-arch. The east wall and part of the south wall were modified in the 19th century, and the roof was also replaced during this time. There are some early graffiti marks present. The chapel is scheduled as an ancient monument and is referenced in "RCHM, Dorset, vol III" and "The Buildings of England, Dorset" by Newman and Pevsner.
