Description

Barley Close is a 17th-century house located on Village Street in Stourton Caundle. The building is constructed from squared, coursed rubble and features a thatched roof with gable ends. It has one brick stack on the left gable and stone stacks to the right of the front door and on the right gable. The house is two storeys high and has a five-window range, with 20th-century two-light casements that include horizontal glazing bars. To the left of the stack, there is a 20th-century part-glazed door that is topped with a segmental hood supported by shaped brackets featuring dentils.
