Description
The former chapel, now used as a farm building, is likely of late medieval origin, with alterations made around 1600 and in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and has a brick inner wall, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. The building is a long, single-storey range that features a chamfered plinth and is attached to the left return of the Great Isle Farmhouse. At the left end, there is a rebated door jamb. To the right of the center, there are two blocked, four-centred arches with filleted, hollow-chamfered rear arches. A square, partly-blocked, and mutilated three-light mullioned-and-transomed window with alternating, double-chamfered jambs is located to the right of the pointed arches. There are also two similar blocked windows to the left of the center and several other blocked openings. The building has a low monopitch roof and was noted to be in a bad state of repair at the time of the survey.
