Description
No. 3 The Green is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with some alterations. It features rendered masonry and a pantiled roof with rebuilt and rendered brick chimneys. The house has two storeys and three windows. A central 20th-century door is set beneath a renewed Tudor-arched head and is flanked by 19th-century canted bay windows that have replaced sashes; fixed 8-pane end lights were added in the late 20th century. Above the door, there is a central 12-pane sash window and flanking 12-pane horizontal sliding sashes, located just beneath the eaves. The steeply-pitched roof has raised verges and two central ridge chimneys, while the right side of the house features a truncated, stepped external stack. Inside, there are two ground-floor rooms with large chamfered ceiling beams and two blocked fire-windows. The 20th-century rear additions are not of special interest.
