Description

The building at 3 Cornhill is a late Georgian building with a prominent shopfront that contributes significantly to its group value. It is located on the east side of Cornhill and adjoins a similar two-window front above. The roof is tiled. The shopfront features two projecting windows with bowed outer ends. It retains its original glazing bars. A second doorway on the left-hand side has been converted into a window, although it retains an enriched transom and fanlight. Slender, fluted attached columns are positioned at each extreme outer end. The fascia and cornice are bowed above the windows and a late 19th-century style nameboard is present. Buildings 2 to 10 Cornhill form a group.
