Description
24 High East Street is a Grade II listed building dating from around 1820 to 1830. This three-storey structure with an attic features a stucco front. The ground floor is distinguished by fluted Greek Doric columns and a Victorian shopfront that includes cast iron cresting. On the first floor, there are two three-light sash windows, which are flanked by pilasters adorned with incised line ornament. Moulded hoods are positioned at the same level as the string course. The second floor windows are topped with very flat segmental arches. The front of the building is finished with a moulded cornice and a blocking course, and there are two dormers. This building forms part of a group with All Saint's Church and Nos 21 to 26 (consecutive) as well as No 1 Cornhill.
